About NGS Facts

NGS Facts is a voluntary natural gas from shale (NGS) Hydraulic Fracturing Fluid and Additive Component Transparency Service, managed by the International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP).

The Association provides a unique global forum for members to identify and share good practices to achieve improvements in every aspect of health, safety, the environment, security, social responsibility, engineering and operations.

The primary purpose of this site is to provide factual information concerning hydraulic fracturing (also known as fracking) of NGS wells, and other issues including voluntary disclosure of chemical additives on a well-by-well basis in the European Economic Area.

To help users put this information into perspective, the site also provides third-party referenced information on NGS and hydraulic fracturing related issues such as chemicals used, seismicity, greenhouse gas emissions and water use.

We welcome your comments and suggestions regarding the site. If you are seeking detailed information about a well please contact the operator shown on the disclosure sheet.
